Peace amid confusion means
The thoughts flow through and out to sea
A mind so busy, no bit too slow
Reeks all havoc but goes to show
The thoughts we have from day to day
Stumble out to the world, cut short their stay
Unformed, no edits, no filters, no plan
To the world itself, flows from one man
As we set sail once again on the Highlander Sea, Flagship and Goodwill Ambassador of Port Huron, MI; we got to see once more what working on a schooner was really like. We took her up to the mouth of the St. Clair river and let her loose in the lake for a few hours. In that time, I was able to capture a couple hundred decent shots, and have posted them here for you all to see. The more we sail, the more I absolutely love doing it, and as Sarah put it - I am at peace on the boat.
Pen placed to paper, the artist draws forth
the emotions withheld, and beauty restored
thoughts drip as ink does, easily seen
but the soul of this artist, keeps hidden between
the sheaves of her notebook, where her art comes to life
dancing ‘cross pages, her thoughts without strife
at home in her artwork, she roughs out a face
formed by her mind, she finds just the space
chisled and hardened, a figure takes form
broad shouldered, loving, her pen doth adore
I saw tonight what I thought gone
In just one soul, one heart, his son
He showed his face, his wrists and heart
As he barred it all, the world apart
This night revealed that hope remains
For those still lost, confused, disdained
She walked beside me, this night at dusk
And sought for Him, he came as he must
